Claude Simard

Claude Simard was born in 1932. He loved people and was a street painter. All of his paintings were created 'en plein air' - outside, “on the spot”. He loved to paint the Quebec countryside, backyards, alleys, street corners and distinctly Canadian scenes.

In October to May he would travel through the province of Quebec where he would participate in many exhibits.

Claude painted for pleasure and had been dedicating himself to his art for over twenty years. His many trips frequently provide the subject matter of his exciting paintings. Vibrant and alive, his paintings reflected his love of people and his “joie de vivre”.

Claude Simard passed away in September 2005.
